Lizard in Flames

Shalomi,

Personal #game character project that I've been working on. Shot in UE4

Also, for the past many months I've worked upon revamping my portfolio site, using WIX as the building engine in hopes of getting it to display better on mobile devices. I managed to add a 'Tutorial' section to the site; My goal was to sum up the knowledge I've learned in the past two years working with sensationally talented mentors (AC Cable Randall Foster).

The Plan was to create a simple animatable character with an easy-to-set-up rig system and place him into an engine. Ofc many things have happened on the journey, I loved and lost, had children, they in turn had their own children, I saw civilizations fall and rise again, and I no longer am the same - But hopefully someone out there who's beginning to create Characters for Games might pick some knowledge up.

The character was based on a sketch by super talented Tan ZhiHui

Lizard Textures - Marmoset

Lizard Turntable

Another pass on the Tan's Lizard texture. Rendered him out in Marmoset, then put together in Premiere.

Beginning of Rant:

This time around I had to experiment with codec compression, I ended up playing around with H.264 under one of the HD presets.

The goal, as always, is to get the image sequence matching 1 to 1 with the video output. Yet, I'm struggling to understand why after outputting it, the mp4 vid seems 'washed out', less contrast/saturation. I discovered that Quicktime player views the mp4 correctly, in VLC you have to turn off 'Image adjust' (in adjustments and effects - video effects - essential);

Bringing it into Youtube, the final output still looks 'washed out', so manual inc. of contrast by 1 (w youtube enhancements) seems to make it look like the original image.

3D Print - 32mm

Ollo there ol' chums.
Got my first miniature 3D Printed at Objex Unlimited, it was a great experience. I would highly recommend the company.

With the transparent material it was quite difficult to show the details of the 32mm model. If you look at your thumb, from the nail to where it bends - that's basically the size of it. So I had to implore PS's sharpens and filters to get the details across. Unexpectedly for such a small size many of the details came out well.

Pig Latin - Front Side

PigLatin, The Cosmo-Pig

Pig Latin

"Away eryvay eepday dnaway foundproay otequay"

Waking up behind a garbage bin one day Oinkster realizes that he has gotten himself into trouble and now he has a helmet with a brain and robotic arms permanently attached to his head. Due to Oinkster's dyslexia, he names his helmet 'Brian'. On the way to his lackluster space-janitor job, a well written story twist accurse which sends Oinkster and his trustworthy sidekick Brian to go on an adventure to save the galaxy. Only later the twist is revealed that Brian is no other than Maximus M. Maximilius (!) a former legendary rebel who was forced to hide himself by uploading his mind into the helmet, far away from the reaches of the oppressive totalitarian government that made their duty to capture and destr...yadda-yadda.

'Pig Latin' is my personal project, main focus was to learn how to pull off a 'concept' pipeline, which devotes time into enhancement of the design vs. spending time on optimizing geometry and unwrapping.
